How does Observation work during a taxi ride?
Before you set off, set your destination in the app, and a Safety Assistant will keep checking in real time that you're travelling the set route. You ride, while a trained security officer watches over your trip.
What happens if the taxi leaves the route?
A Safety Assistant notices straight away and contacts you to make sure everything's all right. If the situation turns out to be worrying, they assess the threat and, if needed, direct the right services to your location.
Can I use the app on rides booked through Uber, Bolt or FreeNow?
Yes. Observation works on any ride, a street taxi, a car booked through an app or a casual lift. All you have to do is set your destination.
Will the driver realise someone is watching my route?
No. The app works discreetly on your phone, and contact with the Safety Assistant is handled so as not to draw attention.
How much does SafeMe cost?
Your first 7 days are free. After that, access is £7.99 per month on the Personal plan. You can cover your loved ones with a Family plan: £20.97 per month for 3 people or £34.95 for 5, that's £6.99 per person. Pay for a year upfront and you pay for 10 months, with 2 months free.
